The Wallace Line or Wallace's Line is a faunal boundary line drawn in 1859 by the British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace that separates the ecozones of Asiaand Wallacea, a transitional zone between Asia and Australia. West of the line are found organisms related to Asiatic species; to the east, a mixture of species of Asian and Australian origin is present.

It's cold outside, but we welcome you to warm up at the Gallery with a visit "East of the Wallace Line" to see art from Indonesia and New Guinea, an imaginative journey to the tropics. This special exhibition is only on view through February 1. Check it out! We're open 11-5 Sat. and Sun.
