巴黎甫遭恐攻
非常震驚與哀傷

遭受攻擊的主要場地 Bataclan，國內傳媒一般將之譯為「巴塔克蘭歌劇院」，然而該演出場所從1865年開幕以來，從未演出歌劇，事實上，它就像「紅磨坊」一般，是歌舞秀兼舞場。


這座位於左岸伏爾泰大道上的娛樂場所，落成後，以奧芬巴赫（J. Offenbach)一部盛行的諧歌劇"Ba-ta-Clan"(1855年首演）為名，因為它的建築風格與這部諧歌劇同樣是「中國風」（chinoiserie).數十年後，這座秀場被大幅度改建，原先建築上方裝飾繁富麗的「中國寶塔」不見了，整個建築雖仍舊具有中國風味，卻簡化成當時新興起的「裝飾藝術風格」（Art déco),見圖二。直到今天，一持保持這個1910年改建後的風格。

1983年該秀場被充分現代化之後，直到今天，主要是演出各類歌唱，娛樂節目。「黑色星期五恐攻」發生時，來自美國的一個重金屬摇滾樂團"Eagles of Death Metal",正在這個可容納一千五百人的場地演出。
