In 2016, a brand new museum - the National Museum of African American History and Culture - opens on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Lonnie G. Bunch III, the NMAAHC's Founding Director, visits the Gallery tomorrow to discuss the history and challenges of creating the museum, including its building on the National Mall, the development of conceptual frameworks, public expectations, and the contextual terrain of race. Join us Tuesday, December 8, at 4:00 pm in Gallery's lecture hall for this special program. Free and open to the public.
