This silver lyre is over 4,500 years old and was discovered at the ancient city of Ur (now south Iraq). It’s decorated with a bull’s head as well as panels depicting deers, lions and gazelles. Music was an important aspect of many celebrations and rituals in ancient Mesopotamia.
