China on highest flood alert as 38m people evacuated

38 million people -- about the size of the entire population of Afghanistan -- have been evacuated in China as torrential rains threaten to flood the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric reservoir in the world.

Also on the verge of overflowing: the Yangtze River and the Poyang Lake, both being the longest and biggest on the planet.
