Howard Chang 「沙加緬度」源自19世紀粵籍華僑對「Sacramento」的音譯，但現時中國大陸和香港譯作「薩克拉門托」。老一輩華僑也通常稱沙加緬度為「二埠」，「大埠」指舊金山。

從城市布局可以看出政治文化的不同。台北市以市政府為主，佔據仁愛路末端，議會擺在一邊；但沙加緬度卻以議會為主，主要大街就叫議會大道(Capitol Mall)，遠遠就看到議會，市政府則擺在一邊。

沙加緬度已入秋。有落葉的城市多了一份美感。
