法國巴黎地標艾菲爾鐵塔第一層的全新玻璃地板，前天正式對外開放，遊客可透過堅固的透明玻璃地板俯視57公尺下方的廣場，有行走空中的感覺，許多遊客都在現場瘋自拍。
為增加腎上腺素上升的刺激感，四周玻璃安全護欄全向外傾斜，讓遊客可以看得更廣，大飽眼福。艾菲爾鐵塔於1889年落成，是世上最受歡迎的付費參觀景點，去年有近700萬人次造訪。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）

2009年4月1日 :今天才注意到它取名為設計者: Eiffel Tower: was dedicated in Paris; designed by bridge engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, the open-lattice wrought iron masterpiece was the tallest structure in the world at the time (1889) 約在1990年，台灣的公視播過它的百年慶影片，相當精彩。妙的是我1-2年之後第一次到巴黎，竟然不俗到沒想去造訪它。(它的參觀人數是巴黎第一景點: 艾菲爾鐵塔(La Tour Eiffel, Paris, France) 在法國首都巴黎，各國遊客最為集中的旅遊景點無疑是艾菲爾鐵塔。登上艾菲爾鐵塔、俯瞰萬城之冠的巴黎風光，這是每一位來到巴黎的訪問者和遊人最大的心願。)
在追悼美國911事件周年，以及2008年7月初，慶祝法國當選歐盟主席(6個月)等場合，都是在塔的兩側射出兩道光柱來紀念。2008年的是藍色與黃金色。
Barthes 寫過日本這《符號帝國》。然而日本得臣服於艾菲爾塔，因為她在東京也一再地要與它「修‧破‧離」。

紺地に１２の黄色い星を配した欧州連合（ＥＵ）旗をモチーフにした照明。フランスが７月からＥＵの議長国になるのに合わせ、普段はオレンジ色に浮かび上がるエッフェル塔が“変身”した。
