Valencia瓦倫西亞


瓦倫西亞瓦倫西亞語València瓦倫西亞語: [vaˈlensia];西班牙語:Valencia西班牙語:[baˈlenθja];又譯巴倫西亞華倫西亞)是西班牙第三大城市,位於東部沿岸地區,是港口和工業城市,市區人口約81萬人,外加週邊市鎮共158萬人口。它是瓦倫西亞自治區瓦倫西亞省的首府。現任市長為 Joan Ribó i Canut 。2008年3月在該市路易斯普格體育館舉辦了第12屆世界室內田徑錦標賽。瓦倫西亞在每年3月舉行法亞火節。瓦倫西亞與巴塞隆納馬德里薩拉戈薩等都市有鐵路及高速巴士相連。

名字[編輯]

拉丁語中瓦倫西亞原名是 Valentia [wa'lentia],是「強壯」、「活力」的意思。在摩爾人占領時期被叫作 Al-Balansi。經過變音,在西班牙語和瓦倫西亞語中分別演變成 Valencia [ba'lenθja] 和 València。在加泰隆尼亞中部地區,València 的發音是 [bə'łεnsjə],而在瓦倫西亞語中(加泰隆尼亞西南部),也可以讀成 [va'lensja]。

Valencia (/vəˈlɛnsiə/Spanish: [baˈlenθja]), officially València(Valencian: [vaˈlensia]),[2] on the east coast of Spain, is the capital of the autonomous community of Valencia and the third-largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona, with around 800,000 inhabitants in the administrative centre. Its urban area extends beyond the administrative city limits with a population of around 1.5–1.6 million people.[1] Valencia is Spain's third largest metropolitan area, with a population ranging from 1.7 to 2.5 million depending on how the metropolitan area is defined. The Port of Valencia is the 5th busiest container port in Europeand the busiest container port on the Mediterranean Sea. The city is ranked at Gamma+ in the Globalization and World Cities Research Network.[3] Valencia is integrated into an industrial area on the Costa del Azahar (Orange Blossom Coast).
